Glenside, Pa. (April 10, 2021) - Alvernia Women's Lacrosse (3-6) held Arcadia University (1-7) scoreless in the first 50 minutes  as the Golden Wolves took a 17-3 win over the Knights on Saturday afternoon in non-conference women's lacrosse action at Arcadia.

Haleigh Lackner put Alvernia on the board just over three minutes into the game with an unassisted goal. Natalie Frantz and Gianna Taffo then scored a goal a piece in a 70 second span to extend Alvernia's lead to 3-0. Erika Whitmoyer then scored to put Alvernia up 4-0.

The Golden Wolves then went scoreless over the next 11 minutes before Lackner ended the scoring drought with a man-up goal with 11:40 left in the half. Taffo then scored Alvernia's final goal of the half to give the Golden Wolves a 6-0 lead into the half.

Alvernia would continue its strong offensive performance in the second half, scoring eight more goals in the first 18 minutes of the half to take a 14-0 lead.

The Knights would score back-to-back goals to get on the board, but Alvernia would score three of the last four goals of the game for the 17-3 win.

Whitmoyer led Alvernia with three goals and three assists. Taffo finished with four goals and Lackner finished with three.

Kasey Fox picked up the win with 11 saves in net.
