Madison, NJ (April 2, 2021) - Alvernia Women's Tennis (0-3) fell to FDU-Florham (2-1) 7-2 in non-conference Women's Tennis action at FDU-Florham on Friday afternoon.

Jackelyn Checo and Maria Figurelli picked up Alvernia's only point of doubles play, taking #3 doubles 8-2.

Laura Covely pushed her #2 singles match to three sets, but fell to FDU's Kira Bradley 10-6 in the third set. Checo also pushed her #4 singles match to three sets, but fell 10-4 in the final set.

Leah Kemper picked up an 8-0 win at #6 singles for Alvernia's second and final point of the match.

Alvernia opens its MAC Commonwealth schedule on Saturday with a home match against Eastern.
