Reading, Pa. (April 3, 2021) - Alvernia University (2-5) fell to #19 Messiah University (9-0) for the second time this season as the Falcons bettered the Golden Wolves 19-3 on Saturday morning in non-conference women's lacrosse action at Alvernia.

The Falcons jumped out to an 8-0 lead after ten minutes, but Alvernia got one on the board with a goal from Natalie Frantz at the 18:06 mark.

After the Falcons scored their ninth of the morning, Alvernia's Haleigh Lackner put one on net on a man-up goal with 12 minutes remaining in the half.

Messiah would score four more on the half to take a 13-2 lead into the break.

The Falcons would hold Alvernia to just one goal in the second half - a free position by Alexis Iswalt - while scoring six more of their own for the 19-3 win.

Lackner led the Golden Wolves with a goal and an assist.

Alvernia heads to Albright on Wednesday for a 4:00 PM game with the Lions.
