The Golden Wolves then head to Eastern University for a first-time MAC Commonwealth matchup with the Eagles on October 5th. The Eagles joined the MAC Commonwealth in the Fall of 2020 after switching over from the MAC Freedom. Eastern won the MAC Freedom Championship four of the last five years. The Golden Wolves and Eagles are very familiar with each other, facing off 24 times in program history. Eastern holds the advantage with 16 wins over Alvernia. They most recently met in 2109, where the two teams played to a 1-1 tie.
Alvernia then hosts York College in another first-time MAC Commonwealth matchup on Saturday, October 9th. York joined the MAC Commonwealth in the Fall of 2020 after leaving the Capital Athletic Conference (CAC). The Golden Wolves and the Spartans have faced each other six times in the past. Alvernia has never won against the Spartans, but they have tied them twice. The game is the finale of Homecoming and Family weekend.
Alvernia then heads to Messiah on October 13th to take on the reigning MAC Commonwealth champions.
The Golden Wolves return home on October 19th to host Lebanon Valley College and then head to Stevenson University on October 23rd.
