Glassboro N.J. (Sept. 13, 2021)- Alvernia University Women's Soccer (0-3) suffered its third loss of the season, falling short to Rowan University (5-1) on Monday evening in non-conference women's soccer action at Rowan.
The Golden Wolves started the match strong, applying early pressure with two quick corners in the half; however, they were unable to capitalize on the opportunities.
Rowan would open up the scoring with a goal that rebounded off the crossbar in the 10
th minute. The Profs would remain in control going into the half, 1-0.
The score would remain the same late into the second half until Rowan would net its second goal of the game in the 79
th minute. The Profs offense would prove too much for the Golden Wolves with the match ending, 2-0.
Brynn Bock would lead Alvernia with four saves on eight shots faced.
The Golden Wolves return to action this Wednesday at home against Clarks Summit University.
