York, Pa. (Sept. 14, 2021)- Alvernia University (1-6, 0-2) fell to 1-6 and 0-2 in MAC Commonwealth action after falling 3-0 to York College of Pennsylvania (5-2, 1-1).
Alvernia would play three tough sets as they took on its conference rival on Tuesday night. The Golden Wolves would drop the first set, 25-16. However, Alvernia would have a strong second set, opening up with a 7-2 run. York would prove too much though as the Spartans would come back and claim the second set, 25-23. The Golden Wolves would drop the third set 25- 12 losing the contest, 3-0.
Alvernia was led by
Taylor Suto who tallied eight kills and six digs. Senior
Alexis Schwenk led the Golden Wolves in assists, recording 12.
The Golden Wolves look to bounce back this Thursday night at home versus Rosemont College.
