Reading, Pa. (Oct. 12, 2022) - Alvernia University (3-7-3, 1-2-1) played to a 0-0 draw with Albright College (2-8-4, 1-2-1) on Wednesday night in MAC Commonwealth action at Alvernia.

The tie snaps a five-game losing streak to the Lions dating back to a 2-1 win on October 13, 2015 at Alvernia. 

The best look for Alvernia in the first half came in the 24th minute with Haley Dougherty sending a shot off the crossbar. Gianna Ordanoff quickly gathered the rebound but sent her attempt high.

Alvernia continued to pepper Albright in the second half, with the Golden Wolves out-shooting the Lions 10-5 in the final 45 minutes. 

Alvernia's best opportunity of the game in the final 90 seconds when Kalyn Keen had a breakaway 1v1 opportunity with Albright keeper Alexis Solt. Solt came charging up to Keen and Keen fired a shot right at Solt. Solt was able to make a fantastic save with her face to keep Alvernia off the board and preserve the tie for the Lions.

While Alvernia outshot Albright 16-9 on the game, the Lions won the shot-on-goal attempt stat line with seven to Alvernia's six. 

Alvernia keeper Brynn Bock finished with seven saves in net.

The Golden Wolves are back in action on Saturday at York.
