Annville, Pa. (Oct. 4, 2022) - Lebanon Valley College (3-3-3, 2-0) scored three goals in the final 17 minutes to defeat Alvernia University (3-6-2, 1-1) 3-0 in MAC Commonwealth women's soccer action on a rainy Tuesday afternoon at Lebanon Valley College.

With the game locked at 0-0 through the first half and into the 73rd minute, Lebanon Valley converted its first scoring opportunity on a double-assisted goal early in the 73rd minute.

The Dutchmen made it 2-0 just seven minutes later on a goal by Alyssa Peiffer.

Alvernia had an opportunity to get back within one in the 80th minute on a shot by Haley Dougherty, but the Dutchmen made the save.

Lebanon Valley continued to push and scored its third goal of the game in the 87th minute on an unassisted goal by Emma Houck.

Doughterty's shot on goal in the 80th minute would be Alvernia's last shot on goal of the game as Lebanon Valley came away with the 3-0 win.

Brynn Bock finished with seven saves in the loss.

Alvernia is back in action on Saturday hosting Messiah University as part of Alvernia's Homecoming and Family Weekend.
