Reading, Pa. (April 19, 2022) - Alvernia University (5-4, 3-3) secured a clean 9-0 sweep over Albright College (4-8, 0-4) in some cold conditions during MAC Commonwealth men's tennis action at Alvernia on Tuesday.

Alvernia took a 3-0 lead after doubles actions after the duos of Lucas Berger and Jayden Lewis, and Thomas Figurelli and Drew Heinzelmann did not give up a game in two 8-0 wins. Michael Brophy and Kevin Angeles picked up the third doubles win after Albright withdrew.

The Golden Wolves kept things rolling in singles play with Brophy, Berger, Heinzelmann, and Jayden Lewis each picking up straight set wins. With the match secured, Angeles and Figurelli won #5 and #6 singles with pro set wins of 8-2, and 8-1. 

Alvernia is slated to be back in action tomorrow with a non-conference match at King's.
