BOX SCORE Wilkes-Barre, Pa. (April 20, 2022)- Alvernia University (6-4, 3-3) secured a match win over King's College (4-9, 0-2) 6-3 in non-conference men's tennis action Wednesday afternoon at King's.
Alvernia dropped #3 doubles 8-0. However, the Golden Wolves secured wins in #1 doubles, 8-3, and #2 doubles, 8-5 to start the day out strong.
After doubles, the Golden Wolves dropped #1 singles, 6-0, 6-0, and #6 singles, 6-1, and 6-3. Alvernia recorded wins in the other four singles matches to secure a win over King's.
Lucas Berger won his singles match 6-1, 6-0, and
Jayden Lewis claimed a 6-1, 6-1 win in singles.
Thomas Figurelli secured a 6-4, 4-3 #4 singles win, while
Derrick Boltz ended the day with a 6-4, 4-3 singles win.
The Golden Wolves are back in action Saturday as they take on Stevenson University at Governor Mifflin.
