Reading, Pa. (October 17, 2026) - Alvernia men's tennis (1-1) fell to Johnson & Wales University North Carolina (4-0) on Saturday morning at Angelica Park.

Alvernia dropped the first doubles match, as Cole Stuchko and Lucas Montello fell, 6-3. Joshue Avila and Aiden Smith-Shuman lost the second doubles match, 6-1. An Alvernia forfeit at No. 3 doubles gave the Wildcats the doubles point, as they took a 1-0 lead into singles play.

The Golden Wolves then went 0-4 in singles play, with Montello, Stuchko, Avila, and Smith-Shuman all falling to the Wildcats.

Saturday morning's match wrapped up the fall season for men's tennis. The Golden Wolves will return to action in the spring on March 10, when they face Goucher at 4 PM.
