Reading, Pa. (April 5, 2022) - Lebanon Valley College (9-5, 1-1) spoiled Alvernia University's (3-3, 1-1) MAC Commonwealth home opener on Tuesday, defeating the Golden Wolves 8-1 in Angelica Park.

Alvernia's only point of the match came at #2 doubles from the duo of Lucas Berger and Jayden Lewis. The pair took #2 doubles by an 8-3 decision. 

In singles action, Alvernia was defeated in straight sets in all matches except for #3 singles. Drew Heinzelmann, playing for Alvernia in the three slot, pushed his match to three sets, but was unable to fend off Lebanon Valley's Adam Warren.

Alvernia returns to action on Saturday, hosting Messiah.
