Havre de Grace, Md. (October 17, 2023) - Shawn Williams fired a two-over 74 to earn low medalist honors and led Alvernia University to a second place finish at the Battle at Bulle Rock at Bulle Rock GC Tuesday afternoon.

Williams held the lead after a day one score of 73 and fired a 74 to secure the low medalist honors. Williams started his day with a par on the first and then birdied the par five second but a bogey on the third saw him drop back to even par. Williams then carded a double bogey and a bogey on the fifth and six holes, but a bounce back birdie on the par three seventh and birdies on eight and nine saw Williams card a two over, 38 on the front nine. Williams then rattled off back to back birdies on 10 and 11 but another double bogey and bogey on 12 and 13 saw him slide back to even par. Williams responded with a par and then back to back birdies on the 15th and 16th to get to one under par on the back nine. The birdies tallied his fifth and sixth birdies of the round. Williams carded a par and a bogey on the final two holes to post an even par, 36 on the back and finish with a two over, 74 overall.
