Golden Wolves Place Third at Stevenson Fall Shootout

Upperco, Md. (October 1, 2026) - Alvernia University posted a third place finish at the Stevenson Fall Shootout with a 36 hole total of 604 Thursday at Piney Branch Country Club. 

The Golden Wolves recorded a round one score of 310 before bouncing back to post a round two score of 294 en route to the third place finish. 

Allen Kim led the Golden Wolves with 36 hole total of 147 including a round two score of 71 to finish in a tie for sixth place. Kim carded a round one score of 76 and carded 14 pars with a 39 on the front nine and a 37 on the back nine. Kim then turned around and carded an even par 71 on his second 18 holes of the day. Kim posted a two under 34 on the front nine with seven pars and two birdies before posting a birdie at the tenth to get to three under. Kim would post a 37 on the back nine that included two birdies and four pars en route to the T6 finish. 

Quinlan Hood followed Kim with a T10 finish on Thursday and carded a 76 in round one and a 73 in round two. Hood carded a 42 on the front nine of round one but responded with a one under 34 on the back nine with two birdies and six straight pars to end his round. Hood then posted a 73 in round two with a 39 on the front nine and a one under 34 again on the back nine with a clean back nine of eight pars and one birdie to finish with a 36 hole total of 149. 

Matthew Overholt tallied a solo 12th place finish for the Golden Wolves and carded a two round total of 150. Overholt posted a 79 in his first 18 holes and carded a 40 on the front nine before posting a 39 on the back including a closing birdie on the 18th hole. Overholt then headed to his second 18 holes and improved by eight strokes and carded an even par round of 71. Overholt posted a 36 on the front nine with two birdies to offset his two bogeys, he then made the turn and carded another even par back nine with two more birdies and a par at the 18th to secure a 12th place finish. 

Brody Calle rounded out the counting scores for the Golden Wolves and carded back to back 79's on the day to finish with a two day total of 158. Calle tallied a 39 on the front nine of his first round of the day before carding a 40 on the back nine to post a 79 in his first 18 holes. Calle then came back and carded a second 79 with a 41 on the front but bounced back with a 38 on the back nine to finish in a tie for 33rd place. 

Zachary Neuin finished in a tie for 55th place for the Golden Wolves and carded an 85 in the first round and an 80 in the second round to post a two round total of 165. 

Zhan Medina and Chase Smith competed as individuals for the Golden Wolves and Medina finished in a tie for 30th place and Smith finished in a tie for 47th place. Medina carded a two round total of 157 with rounds of 78 and 79 and Smith carded rounds of 79 and 82 to post a two round total of 161. 

The Golden Wolves are back in action on Monday and Tuesday when they head down to Harve de Grace, Maryland to host The Battle at Bulle Rock at Bulle Rock Golf Club.
