Bethlehem, Pa (October 8, 2023) - Moriavan University (4-2) took down Alvernia University (3-4) 8-1, in a non-conference men's tennis matchup Sunday afternoon at Moravian. 

Jayden Lewis grabbed the only point for the Golden Wolves with a victory in the #2 singles spot against Moravian's Anthony Ronca 7-5, 6-1. 

Lewis and Lucas Berger faced off against Shayaan Farhad and Anthony Ronca from Moravian in the #1 doubles match but fell 8-7. 

Luke Brisbois and Thomas Figurelli played in the #2 doubles match against Wyatt Marshall and Ronny PimentelFerrer but the Moravian duo took the match 8-2. 

Alec Verhagen and Alexandros Vaziri fell in the #3 doubles match 0-8 to wrap up the doubles matches with Moravian swiping all three points available. 

Berger dropped his #1 singles match to Farhad 2-6, 3-6 and Figurelli fell to Marshall in the #3 singles match 3-6, 0-6. Brisbois fell to PimentelFerrer in the #4 singles match 1-6, 1-6 and Verhagen dropped the #5 match 0-6, 0-6 to Ryan Burke. 

Vaziri wrapped the match up with a 5-7, 3-6 loss to Steve Schneider as the Greyhounds secured the 8-1 victory. 

This match concludes the fall matches for the Golden Wolves and they will be back and action in the Spring of 2024.
