Bethlehem, Pa (October 8, 2023) - Moravian University (4-2) defeated Alvernia University (1-5) 7-2, in a non-conference women's tennis matchup Sunday afternoon at Moravian. 

Leah Bouchard recorded a win in the #1 singles match against Moravian's Leah Zolotareva  6-2, 6-1 and Jillian Laughman recorded a 7-5, 6-2 victory in the #2 singles match. 

Bouchard and Lily Summerson dropped the #1 doubles matchup to Ali Bender and Zolotareva 6-8 and Laughman and Monica Ngyuen fell in the #2 doubles spot 6-8 as well. 

Sarah Mies and Megan Wells dropped the #3 doubles match 1-8 to Moravian's Emily Masters and Sydney Shifman as the Greyhounds grabbed all three points in the doubles matches. 

Summerson fell to Bender in the #3 singles spot 1-6, 3-6 and Ngyuen dropped the #4 singles match to Shifman 0-6, 1-6. 

Mies competed in the #5 singles match but fell to Moravian's Mara Stapelton 0-6, 0-6 and Wells dropped the #6 singles match to Gabby Martin 3-6, 2-6 in the final singles match of the day. 

This concludes the fall season for the Golden Wolves and they will be back in action in the Spring of 2024.
