Reading, Pa. (April 16, 2023) - Alvernia University (7-5, 2-2) fell to York College (9-5, 4-1), 6-3, in MAC Commonwealth Women's Tennis action on Sunday afternoon at the Governor Mifflin Courts in Shillington.

Alvernia trailed 2-1 following doubles play, with the Golden Wolves picking up a point from Jillian Laughman and Rachel Rinner with an 8-3 win at #2 doubles.

Laughman and Rineer each picked up wins at #3 and #4 singles, respectively, as Laughman won 6-4, 6-0 and Rineer took a 6-3, 3-6, 10-6 win. But, Alvernia would not pick up any more points in singles play as the Spartans took the 6-3 win.

Alvernia is back in action on Monday at Messiah.
