Reading, Pa. (July 11, 2023) - Alvernia University Women's Soccer released its 2023 schedule on Tuesday, with the 2023 season set to get underway on September 1st.

The 2023 Alvernia Women's Soccer season gets underway on Friday, September 1st as the Golden Wolves host Montclair State at 2:00 PM. Alvernia opened its 2022 season against Montclair last season with the Red Hawks narrowly grabbing a 1-0 win over Alvernia on a second half penalty kick. The game marks the start of an opening-day tripleheader at Alvernia as Men's Soccer follows the women at 5:00 PM and Field Hockey caps things off with an 8:00 PM game.

Alvernia has a quick turnaround and will head to Catholic University on Sunday, September 3rd. This will be just the third meeting between the two teams and first matchup in over a decade.

Alvernia stays on the road on September 6th with a game at Haverford before returning to Reading on Saturday, September 9th in the first of a four game homestand. Alvernia takes on PSU Berks on the 9th, followed by Lancaster Bible on the 12th and Stockton on the 16th. The homestand concludes on Wednesday, September 20th with a game against Goucher.

The Golden Wolves then are away for three straight games, starting with Marywood on September 23rd. After a stop at Lebanon Valley on September 27th, Alvernia opens its MAC Commonwealth schedule on Saturday, September 30th at Stevenson.

Alvernia takes a quick break from conference play to return home and host FDU-Florham on October 3rd before returning to its conference schedule on October 7th at Eastern. The Golden Wolves then head up to King's College on October 10th before returning home on Saturday, October 14th for a home game with York College. The game with the Spartans is part of a Homecoming tripleheader that opens with Football taking on Stevenson and is capped off with Field Hockey hosting Albright.

Alvernia then takes a quick trip uptown to take on Albright on October 17th and then heads to the defending MAC Commonwealth Champion Messiah Falcons on October 21st.

Alvernia returns home for its final two games of the regular season as the Golden Wolves host Hood on October 25th and close out the regular season hosting Widener on Saturday, October 28th.
