Reading, Pa (September 12, 2023) - Lancaster Bible (5-0) scored two second half goals to down Alvernia University (0-5) 3-0, in a non-conference women's soccer matchup on Tuesday night at Alvernia. 

The Chargers got on the board early in the first half when Isabella Eufemia found the back of the net in the 14th minute to give Lancaster Bible an early 1-0 lead. 

Both teams would apply pressure in the final 30 minutes of the half, but both defenses held strong as Lancaster Bible took a 1-0 lead into the half. 

The Chargers came out firing in the second half, tallying a shot that was saved by Alvernia keeper Brynn Bock. LBC then made it 2-0 just over a minute into the half when Jade Weir found Leah Perreault who found the back of the net to give the Chargers a two goal advantage. 

Lancaster Bible tallied one more insurance goal in the 89th minute when Kendal Ream found the back of the net to make it 3-0 and secure the victory for the Chargers. 

Bock tallied nine saves in net for the Golden Wolves. 

Kalyn Keen led Alvernia with four total shots, Tessa Pillsbury tallied two, including one on goal and both Madison Rotkiske and Macy McDonough recorded one shot. 

Alvernia is back in action on Saturday when they host Stockton at 7:30 PM.
