Center Valley, Pa. (Sept. 30, 2023) - Alvernia University (1-3) could not overcome a three point deficit following doubles as DeSales University (2-0) took a 6-3 win over the Golden Wolves on Saturday afternoon in non-conference women's tennis action at DeSales.

Alvernia dropped all three doubles matches, including a narrow loss at #2 doubles, and could not overcome the deficit in singles play.

Leah Bouchard took #1 singles, 6-1 and 6-0, and Jillian Laughman won #2 singles, 6-1 and 6-4. Lily Summerson picked up a third point for Alvernia at #3 singles by taking a tiebreaker set, 7-6 after splitting the first two sets. But, Alvernia dropped its other three singles matches as DeSales took the 6-3 win.
