How it Happened
  • Eastern got things going in the first 13 minutes of the contest after Joao Tarabal played a great ball to the foot of Evan Cope who split two Alvernia defenders and then beat Alvernia keeper Evan Solley to give the Eagles a 1-0 lead early on.
  • Alvennia sent four shots at the Eastern net in the final 25 minutes of the half but Eastern's Gabe Copley saved three of the four shots to keep the Golden Wolves out of the net as the Eagles took a 1-0 lead into the half.
  • Eastern doubled its lead just under two minutes into the second half after Tarabal found the back of the net just one minute and 41 seconds into the half to make it a 2-0 game.
  • Eastern made it 3-0 in the 60th minute after Tarabal found the head of Ethan Pfau who headed the ball into the top right corner of the net to make it 3-0 Eagles with 30 minutes left in the contest.
  • The Golden Wolves grabbed one back in the 64th minute after Ryan Cogill drew a foul in the Eastern box and was awarded a penalty kick. Cogill stepped up to the spot and put his shot into the bottom right corner to pull the Golden Wolves within two, 3-1.
  • Alvernia put seven shots at the Eastern net in the final 30 minutes of the game but were unable to find the back of the net as the Eagles secured the 3-1 victory over the Golden Wolves.
