- Evan Thomas then ripped an RBI single to left to plate Nelson to make it a 4-1 lead.
- Alvernia then tacked two more on in the fourth inning after a Jake Chapman sacrifice fly to left and then Mike Ramundo recorded an RBI groundout to second base to make it a 6-1 ballgame.
- Chapman recorded his second sacrifice fly of the game, this one to right field and was deep enough to score Nelson and push the Alvernia lead to six, 7-1.
