Hershey, Pa. (April 7, 2024) - Alvernia University Men's Golf shot a 331 on Sunday to sit in 14th through the first day of competition at the University of Rochester's Hershey Cup at Hershey Country Club on Sunday afternoon.

Alvernia is in a tie with Dickinson for 14th place with a first round total of 331. Wittenberg University sits atop the leaderboard with a first day total of 301.

Jack Lynam paced Alvernia on day one. Lynam shot a 7-over 78 and is t-32nd in the field of 87. Lynam had 12 pars on his round on Sunday.

In second for Alvernia and sitting in t-53rd overall is Jackson Hoovler with a round of 83. Hoovler's round was highlighted by a birdie on the 14th. He also finished his day with eight pars.

Shawn Williams, Andrew Bauer, and Matthew Gagliardi all shot an 85 for Alvernia on Sunday and are tied for 64th overall. Williams and Bauer each finished their days with eight pars. Gagliardi finished with nine pars.

Alvernia is back at Hershey Country Club on Monday for the second and final day of the Hershey Cup.
