Elizabethtown, Pa (September 21, 2024) - Alvernia University (4-2-2) scored two late goals to secure a 2-2 draw with Elizabethtown College (2-3-2) Saturday afternoon in the annual Kicks for Cancer game between the Golden Wolves and the Blue Jays at Elizabethtown. 

The Blue Jays were up 2-0 after 62 minutes of play but the Golden Wolves grabbed two goals in the final 28 minutes to grab the 2-2 draw with the Blue Jays. 

How it Happened 

• Elizabethtown grabbed the lead after under ten minutes into the first half when Pedro Guizardi scored an unassisted goal to make it 1-0. 
• The Golden Wolves ripped six shots at the Blue Jays goal but could not find the back of the net as Elizabethtown took a 1-0 lead into the half.
• Elizabethtown doubled the lead in the 62nd minute thanks to an AJ Sasso goal to make it 2-0. 
• Alvernia responded 30 seconds later when Connor Kraycik converted a penalty kick opportunity to cut the lead in half, 2-1 with under 30 left in the contest. 
• The Golden Wolves found a leveler in the 78th minute of the game when Ryan Cogill found the back of the net to tie the game at two and secure the come from behind draw for Alvernia. 

Inside the Box Score

• Connor Kraycik and Ryan Cogill netted the goals for the Golden Wolves and Kraycik tallied four shots on goal and Cogill added three. 
•  Evan Bauer, Nate Stoltzfus and Zander Templeton all recorded shots on goal for the Golden Wolves. 
• Evan Solley tallied just two saves in net for Alvernia.
