Reading, Pa. (Oct. 18, 2025) - Alvernia University (4-6-4, 0-2-1) and Hood College (3-10-2, 0-2-1) played to a 0-0 draw on Saturday afternoon in MAC Commonwealth Women's Soccer action at Alvernia.

The Blazers outshot Alvernia 4-1 in the first half, but neither squad was able to put a look on net in the opening 45 minutes.

The first shot on goal of the contest came in the 50th minute and came off the head of Abby Stair, who put a header on goal for the Golden Wolves. But, Hood made the stop to keep it a 0-0 game.

Alvernia nearly had another look on goal in the 59th minute as Megan Reuter sent a free kick in for the Golden Wolves. Her attempt curved in towards the goal, but sailed just high.

Hood had its first and only look on goal in the 61st minute, but Abby Rowley made the save for the Golden Wolves. 

Alvernia had one more look from Stair in the final seconds of the contest, but Hood made one final save to end the game in a 0-0 tie. It is the second straight time that the Golden Wolves and Blazers ended in a 0-0 tie after playing to the same result at Hood last year.
