Reading, Pa. (October 25, 2025) - #17/#19 Stevenson University (15-2, 4-1) took down Alvernia University (6-11, 1-4), 3-0, Saturday evening in a MAC Commonwealth field hockey matchup at Alvernia. 

The Mustangs grabbed the lead just over a minute in to take a 1-0 lead and then tacked on two more insurance goals in the second half to secure the 3-0 victory. 

How it Happened 

• Stevenson grabbed a 1-0 lead after a minute and two seconds into the contest after Coco Wallace assisted Lauren Tobin to give the Mustangs a one goal lead after a minute of action.
• The Golden Wolves rattled off a penalty corner and Caroline Martin recorded a shot on goal in the final five minutes of the first quarter but Martin's shot was saved as the game headed to the second quarter with Stevenson holding a 1-0 lead. 
• Stevenson came out of the quarter break and tallied two quick shots at the Alvernia net but Zoe Caloviras saved both shots to keep it a one goal game. 
• The Mustangs recorded two penalty corners and a shot on goal in the final four minutes of the half but Alvernia's defense and Caloviras held strong as Stevenson held onto a 1-0 lead at the half. 
• Stevenson extended the lead four minutes into the third quarter after a Shae Bennett goal made it 2-0 Mustangs. 
• The Golden Wolves tallied three penalty corners and three shots in the third quarter but were unable to find the back of the net the game headed to the fourth quarter. 
• Stevenson tacked on one more insurance goal in the final eight minutes of the contest to secure the 3-0 victory over the Golden Wolves.

• Kelsy McClintock recorded a team high four shots. 
• Caroline Martin tallied one shot on goal and Katelyn Goodwin recorded a shot as well. 
• Zoe Caloviras recorded four saves in goal for Alvernia.
