The Golden Wolves grabbed the lead late in the contest after an 87th minute goal from Connor Kraycik off a penalty kick but the Eagles responded a minute and 46 seconds later to level the score at one and secured the draw.

How it Happened
  • The Golden Wolves and the Eagles traded shots back and forth in the first 25 minutes of the first half with Alvernia sending three shots at the Eastern net and Eastern recorded six shots with two shots going on goal and two shots hitting the woodwork.
  • Eastern tallied five more shots in the final 15 minutes of the first half but the Alvernia defense and Evan Solley held strong to keep the Eagles out and send it to the half scoreless.
  • Alvernia's Eli Klinger rattled off two shots on goal in the first 20 minutes of the second half but Eastern's Ty Bleiler saved both to keep the game tied.
  • The Golden Wolves then grabbed the lead in the 87th minute after an Eastern foul in the box awarded Alvernia a penalty kick opportunity. Alvernia sent Connor Kraycik to the spot and Kraycik converted his opportunity to make it 1-0 Golden Wolves with just over three minutes to go in the game.
  • The Alvernia lead did not last long as Eastern's Adedotun Adelekan netted a goal just under two minutes later as the game ended in a 1-1 tie.
