St. Davids, Pa. (October 25, 2025) - Alvernia University (4-7-5, 0-3-2) played to a scoreless, 0-0 draw Saturday afternoon against Eastern University (8-4-4, 2-2-1) in a MAC Commonwealth women's soccer matchup on Eastern's Olson Field. 

How it Happened 

• The Eagles came out flying in the first 30 minutes of the contest and fired six shots at the Alvernia net and sent two shots on goal but the Alvernia defense and keeper Abby Rowley held strong to keep Eastern out of the net.
• Eastern sent one more shot at the Alvernia goal in the final 15 minutes of the first half but it went wide as the Golden Wolves and the Eagles headed to the half locked at zero. 
• The Eagles continued to control the offensive side of the ball and sent seven shots at the goal in the first 35 minutes of the second half and fired three on goal but Alvernia's Rowley saved all three to keep the game tied. 
• Alvernia ripped its first three shots of the contest in the final five minutes of the game and sent one on target but were unable to find the back of the net as the game ended in a 0-0 draw. 

Inside the Box Score 

• Tayler Flaherty fired two shots at the Eastern net and recorded Alvernia's only shot on goal. 
• Megan Reuter recorded the third shot for Alvernia. 
• Abby Rowley recorded nine saves in net for the Golden Wolves and recorded the shutout.
