Alvernia Skates Past King’s, 5-2

Pittston, Pa. (November 15, 2025) - Alvernia University (5-1-0, 3-1-0) recorded a second straight 5-2 victory over King's College (0-4-0, 0-4-0) Saturday afternoon in a MAC men's ice hockey clash at Revolution Ice Centre. 

King's struck first in the first two minutes of the first period but the Golden Wolves then came back and netted five straight goals before King's scored its second goal of the game in the third period. Alvernia's Jack Natyshak netted two goals for Alvernia in his first game this season. 

How it Happened 
  • King's opened up the scoring in the first two minutes of the game when Logan Gallagher assisted Cristo Walker to make it a 1-0 Monarchs lead. 
  • The Golden Wolves responded less than a minute later when Sean Kenny connected with Leo Cabulis to level the game at one. 
  • Edvin Robertsson then gave the Golden Wolves the one goal lead in the 12th minute of the period thanks to assists from Sawyer Senio and Vincent Servizzi to make it 2-1. 
  • The Golden Wolves then tacked on one more in the first period after Servizzi assisted Jack Natyshak to send Alvernia into the first intermission with a 3-1 advantage. 
  • Alvernia pushed the lead to four in the second period after Natyshak and Charles Becnel netted goals within two minutes of each other to make it a 5-1 game heading into the final period of play. 
  • King's recorded one more goal in the third period after Walker netted his second goal of the game but it was not enough as the Golden Wolves secured the 5-2 victory over the Monarchs and secured the weekend sweep.
