McCabe Piavis earned All-ECAC honors for his performance during the 2025 season, as announced by the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) on Friday.
Piavis earned Second Team All-ECAC honors as a linebacker. He is one of 11 players who earned Second Team All-ECAC defensive honors.
Piavis, who was a Second Team All-MAC honoree, led Alvernia with 80 tackles this season. He racked up 42 solo tackles and 38 assisted tackles. Piavis finished the season with a team-high 7.5 tackles for a loss and 2.5 sacks. He had an interception against Eastern University, and forced a fumble against Misericordia. He also had a blocked kick against Lebanon Valley. Piavis finished the year with three pass break-ups and two quarterback hurries.
Piavis' 80 total tackles ranked him fourth in the MAC, and he finished fifth in the conference in solo tackles. His 7.5 tackles for a loss ranked him ninth in the conference, and he was 11th in the conference in tackles for a loss per game.
Washington and Jefferson's quarterback Kellan Stahl was named the ECAC Offensive Player of the Year, and Springfield's Tyler Sordillo earned Defensive Player of the year. Quintin Goode of Westminster College was named Offensive Rookie of the Year, and SUNY Brockport's Nazhier Wilson was named Defensive Rookie of the Year. Jon Drach, the head coach of Union College, was named ECAC Coach of the Year.
