Reading, Pa. (Feb. 18, 2025) - Alvernia University (13-11, 7-6) held Hood College (8-16, 4-9) scoreless in the fourth quarter as the Golden Wolves came away with the 58-50 win over Hood on Tuesday night in MAC Commonwealth women's basketball action at Alvernia.

The Golden Wolves trailed by 11 points entering the fourth quarter. • The Blazers held and built on their lead through the remainder of the quarter, taking a 35-27 lead into the half. Hood shot 50% from 3-point range in the first half, going 5-for-10 from beyond the arc.
  • The Blazers came out of the half and extended their lead to 12 after scoring the first four points of the half. Alvernia cut the Hood lead down seven, 39-32, on an Olivia Burke jumper with 6:27 to play, and made it a five point game, 43-37, a few minutes later on a DeGout layup with 3:38 to play.
