Reading, Pa (March 15, 2025) - Alvernia University (0-2) dropped its spring season opener to Penn State Berks (3-2) 5-2, Saturday afternoon in non-conference men's tennis action at PSU Berks.
The doubles pairing of Lucas Berger and Jayden Lewis grabbed the first point for Alvernia with a 6-3 victory in the #1 doubles match and then Lewis grabbed the second Alvernia point with a 7-6/6-2 victory in the #2 singles match.

#1 Doubles - Lucas Berger and
Jayden Lewis took down Muhammad Esmat and Jazae Mainga-Itegi by a score of 6-3.
#2 Doubles - Luke Brisbois and
Duncan McDowell dropped the #2 doubles match to PSU's Talan Nguyen and Donovan Sullivan, 6-2.
#1 Singles - Lucas Berger dropped his match to Muhammad Esmat in the #1 singles match by a score of 2-6/3-6.
#2 Singles - Jayden Lewis took down Talan Nguyen from Berks with a score of 7-6/6-2 to secure Alvernia's second point of the match.
#3 Singles - Luke Brisbois dropped his singles match to Jazae Maina-Itegi from Berks by a score of 2-6/7-5/1-10.
#4 Singles - Andrew Kao fell to Donovan Sullivan in the #4 singles match by a score of 0-6/1-6.
#5 Singles - Duncan McDowell dropped the final singles match of the day to Joseph Martin by a score of 0-6/1-6 to round out the match.
