Reading, Pa (April 16, 2025) - Alvernia University (1-5, 1-3) fell to York College (10-2, 2-1) by a score of 6-1 Wednesday afternoon in a MAC Commonwealth men's tennis matchup in Angelica Park. 

How it Happened 

• The doubles pair of Lucas Berger and Jayden Lewis tallied a 6-0 victory over Parker Sanders and Evan Stehman from York in the #1 spot. 
• Luke Brisbois and Duncan McDowell dropped their doubles match to Ian Bartles and Hayden Musser by a score of 6-4 and the Golden Wolves forfeited the #3 match which awarded the Spartans the doubles point. 
• The Spartans then took five of the six singles matches to secure the 6-1 victory. Berger dropped the #1 match 3-6, 7-5, 8-10 to Drew Heinzelmann. 
• Lewis grabbed the singles point for the Golden Wolves with a 6-4, 6-3 victory over Jason Lutz. 
• Brisbois dropped the #3 match to Ben Dorsey, 6-4, 6-2. The Spartans then took the final three matches by forfeit to secure the victory.
