Reading, Pa (September 10, 2025) - Alvernia University (0-2-2) played to a scoreless 0-0 draw Wednesday night with Juniata College (1-2-2) in a non-conference women's soccer matchup at Alvernia University. 

The Golden Wolves controlled the offensive third in the first half and recorded seven shots to Juniata's one, but the Eagles flipped the script in the second half and rattled off nine shots with five going on goal and won four corners but neither team could put the ball in the back of the net as the game ended in a 0-0 tie after 90 minutes. 

How it Happened

• A scoreless first half was highlighted by the Golden Wolves controlling the offensive side of the ball and fired seven shots at the Juniata goal with two going on target. The Golden Wolves also won three corners in the first half and did not surrender a corner to the Eagles. 
• The Eagles recorded just one shot in the first half with the shot going on target but the Alvernia keeper Abby Rowley made the save to keep the Eagles out of the net. 
• Juniata flipped the script and controlled the second half and rattled off nine shots in the first 25 minutes of the second half and put five of those shots on goal but Alvernia's Abby Rowley saved all five to keep the game tied at zero. 
• The Golden Wolves then got two shots of at the Juniata net and both came off the boot of Kayleigh MeKeown who put one shot on target but it was not enough as the Golden Wolves and the Eagles settled for a 0-0 draw.

• Emily Walter and Olivia Swartz both tallied shots on goal and Abby Stair, Sarah Warner, Macy McDonough, Nicolina Schlesser and Tayler Flaherty all recorded shots for Alvernia.
