Immaculata, Pa (September 23, 2025) - Caroline Martin netted two goals and Kelsy McClintock tallied a goal and an assist to power Alvernia University (3-5) to a 5-1 victory over Immaculata University (3-6) on a rainy Tuesday night at Immaculata's Draper Walsh Stadium.

The Golden Wolves netted three goals in the first half of the contest before tacking on insurance goals in the third and fourth quarters to secure the four goal victory over Immaculata.

With the victory, the Golden Wolves move to 16-2 all-time against the Mighty Macs and head coach Laura Gingrich moves to 11-1 against Immaculata.

How it Happened
  • The Golden Wolves opened up the scoring in the first six minutes of the contest after Alvernia earned two back to back corners. On the second corner, Sofia Mollura inserted the ball to Lillian Case, Case dropped the ball off to Hadley Lewicki who then found the stick of Kelsy McClintock who fired her shot past the Immaculata goalie and into the back of the cage to put the Golden Wolves up 1-0.
  • Alvernia doubled its lead four minutes into the second quarter after Carley Mackert assisted Ava Michael in the 19th minute of the game to give the Golden Wolves a 2-0 lead.
  • The Golden Wolves made it a three goal game just before the halftime break after McClintock found the stick of Caroline Martin on the back post, Martin then put the ball into the back of the net to give Alvernia a 3-0 lead after the first 30 minutes.
  • Immaculata pulled one back eight minutes into the second half after a Taylor Egan goal but the Golden Wolves hit right back with an Ava Michael goal on a breakaway to push the lead back to three, 4-1.
  • Alvernia tacked on another goal a few minutes into the fourth quarter when Matisyn Derkacs directed a driven ball toward goal and into the back of the net and secured the 5-1 victory over the Mighty Macs.
