Anderson Named MAC Defensive Player of the Week

Reading, Pa. (November 3, 2026) - Alvernia senior defensive back Kashantis Anderson was named MAC Football Defensive Player of the Week for his performance last Saturday in Alvernia's win over FDU-Florham.

Anderson, a senior defensive back, helped lead the Golden Wolves to a 41-20 victory over FDU-Florham on senior day and did so by recording two interceptions, one of which he returned 47 yards for a touchdown that gave the Golden Wolves the lead in the second quarter, one they would not give up. Anderson tallied his second interception of the day early in the third quarter that gave Alvernia the ball back in FDU-Florham territory on a drive that ended with a touchdown. Anderson added four tackles on the day and the victory over the Devils came as the first in program history. The Golden Wolves also ended the 2026 regular season with a 4-1 record at home.

Football is on the road this weekend and travels to Delaware Valley to take on the Aggies in a massive MAC football clash at 1:00 PM.
