Hershey, Pa. (Feb. 20, 2026) - Alvernia University (12-11, 11-10) dropped its 2026 regular season finale to Lebanon Valley College (18-6, 15-5), 3-0, on Friday night in MAC Women's Ice Hockey action at Lebanon Valley's HersheyPark Arena. 

The Dutchmen jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first five minutes of action and held onto the lead the entire way. Lebanon Valley closed out the game with an empty net goal to secure the 3-0 win. 

Alvernia had nine power play opportunities against the Dutchmen, but Lebanon Valley's penalty kill held Alvernia to nine total shots on goal across all nine power plays. 

Stephanie Skorupa finished the game with 29 saves. Lail Tosi, Marissa Caswell, Kathryn Palmer, and Khenzie Connick finished with two blocks each. Palmer led Alvernia with 11 faceoff wins.

Despite the loss, Alvernia secured the fourth and final spot in the MAC Championship with Hood's 3-2 loss to Wilkes this evening. Alvernia will take on top-seeded Wilkes, the top-seed, on Saturday in the MAC Semifinal at Wilkes. Alvernia's postseason appearance marks Alvernia's second straight appearance in the MAC postseason and sixth straight postseason appearance.
