Frederick, Md. (February 7, 2026) - Five different Golden Wolves netted goals to lead Alvernia University (11-9-0, 10-8-0) to a 5-0 victory over Hood College (12-8-2, 8-8-2) Saturday night in a MAC women's ice hockey matchup at Hood.

The Golden Wolves tallied three goals in the first period of the evening and then tacked on goals in the second and third periods to secure the five goal victory over the Blazers.

How it Happened
  • Alvernia grabbed the lead early in the contest and netted two goals in the first three minutes of the game. Khenzie Connick kicked things off for the Golden Wolves with a goal one minute and 50 seconds into the game thanks to assists from Erin Schutt and Emma Hart to make it 1-0 Golden Wolves.
  • Alvernia then tacked on a second goal 53 seconds later after Maddie Morris put the puck into the back of the net on an unassisted goal to make it 2-0 early.
  • The Golden Wolves tacked on a third goal in the final six seconds of the period when Noelle De Magistris netted a goal after assists from Connick and Sofia King to give the Golden Wolves the three goal lead heading into the first intermission.
  • Alvernia's Schutt added to the lead with just over 13 minutes gone in the second period after she scored a goal after a Hart assist to make it 4-0 Golden Wolves after two periods of play.
  • The Golden Wolves tacked on one more goal for good measure in the third period when Kathryn Palmer connected with Riley Hill to seal the 5-0 victory for the Golden Wolves.
