River Hawks Down Golden Wolves, 12-2

Selinsgrove, Pa. (March 18, 2026) - Susquehanna University (1-7) scored ten unanswered goals to down Alvernia University (3-5), 12-2, on Wednesday evening in non-conference women's lacrosse action at Susquehanna.

The Golden Wolves trailed 2-0 early before getting on the board with a goal by Grace Weissenberger with ten minutes to play in the opening quarter. Alvernia then evened it up at 2-2 on a free-position goal by Makenna Thomas four minutes later. The River Hawks broke the tie with four minutes to play in the quarter, and took the one goal lead into the second quarter.

Susquehanna scored four goals over the next 15 minutes to take a 7-2 lead into the break. The River Hawks added three more goals in the third quarter and capped off the game with two more goals in the fourth quarter to take the 12-2 win. 

Alvernia went 17-for-24 on the clear, and finished with 13 total shots. The River Hawks out-shot Alvernia 22-6 in the second half. Grace Weissenberger and Makenna Thomas finished with Alvernia's goals, and Addison Bolz finished with 11 saves in net.

Alvernia is back in action on Saturday at Stockton.
