Alvernia Closes Out Season at Regional Finals

Elverson, Pa. (March 30, 2026) - Alvernia University Women's Equestrian closed out its 2025-26 season on Saturday at the IHSA Zone Three, Region Four Finals, hosted at Wyndsor Farms in Elverson, Pennsylvania.

Both Emma Philiposian and Emmerson Bartley qualified for regional appearances. Philiposian competed in the open flat on Dude and took sixth place for the Golden Wolves. Emmerson Bartley competed in the Novice Flat on Frank and took reserve.

Alvernia also collected end of the year regional awards for its respective performances this season. Philiposian finished sixth overall as the Regional High Point Rider, and Alvernia's team finished fourth in the region in team scoring. Isabella Jermyn was nominated for the Incentive Award for Most Improved Rider honors, and Philiposian was nominated for the Sportsmanship Award.

Senior Emma Hackett was named Captain of the Year and Alvernia Head Coach Eryn Ziegler was named Coach of the Year. Alvernia's Jazz repeated as Horse of the Year, and Count took home Reserve Horse of the Year honors.

Saturday marked the conclusion of Alvernia's 2025-26 season. Alvernia will be back in action in the fall.
