Camden, N.J. (September 23, 2026) - Alvernia University (4-3-1) dropped a non-conference men's soccer matchup to Rutgers-Camden University (3-4-1), 1-0, Wednesday evening at Rutgers-Camden's Camden Athletic Complex.
Rutgers-Camden netted the lone goal in the 37th minute of the first half and never looked back as they fended off the Golden Wolves offense and secured the 1-0 non-conference victory over Alvernia.

Rutgers-Camden broke the scoreless tie just over 36 minutes into the game when Joseph Kennedy put the ball into the back of the net after an assist from Okafor Norkeh and gave the Scarlet Raptors a one goal lead with under ten minutes to play in the half.

The Golden Wolves tallied three shots at the Rutgers-Camden goal in the first half and two of them came off the foot of Chase Malone but only one was sent on frame as the Scarlet Raptors took a one goal lead into the halftime break.

Alvernia controlled the offensive side of the ball in the second half and rattled off nine shots at the Rutgers-Camden goal and sent seven on target but Rutgers-Camden's Joseph Zubert saved all seven shots on goal to keep Alvernia out of the net and secure the 1-0 victory for the Scarlet Raptors.
