Doylestown, Pa. (September 4, 2026) - Alvernia University first year Vincent Grego posted a school record time of 16:58.6 in the 5k en route to a first place finish to lead the Golden Wolves at Delaware Valley's Aggie 5k on Friday evening. 

Five of the six Alvernia runners placed in the top ten including Spencer Hahn, who tallied a fifth place finish. 

The Golden Wolves also recorded a first place team finish behind the five top ten finishes. 

Gregro posted a time of 16:58.6 in the 5k to set a new 5k school record. Grego also finished in first place in his first collegiate race and broke teammate Samuel Martinez's record set last year at the Aggie 5k. 

Hahn posted a time of 18.50.8 en route to a fifth place finish and Samuel Martinez posted a seventh place finish with a time of 18:56.2. 

Zackary Wendel tallied a ninth place finish with a time of 19:11.7 and Ian Eversmeyer took tenth with a time of 19:45.1. Kevin Thompson rounded out the Golden Wolves with a time of 28:05.5 and took 36th. 

Alvernia is back in action next Saturday when they travel to Dickinson for the Dickinson Long-Short Invitational.
