Tanya Winters

Coach Tanya Winters is a Certified Personal Trainer at Bodyzone Sports and Wellness Complex. Winters earned adegree in Kinesiology with a Health/Physical Education Certification from West Chester University in 2004. 

While at West Chester Winters was a dual athlete. She was a member of the track and field team. completing in the hepthalon, 400 meters, 200 meters, highjump, and longjump.  As a senior Winters won the PSAC Indoor 400 meters and the PSAC Outdoor Heptathlon.  She went on to place in the top 15 at the NCAA Championship meet in the heptathlon. 

Winters also played volleyball and holds the West Chester records for career kills and single season Kills. Winters also helped the Adaptive Education students train and participant in the Track and Field Special Olympics. 

After college, Tanya coached Track and Field at Governor Mifflin High School. She coached volleyball at Millersville University in 2007 and 2008.  Winters was also the head coach for the Sparks Junior Olympic Volleyball Club for four years. Currently, Winters resides in Shillington with her husband and one year old son.

She joined Alvernia's Track and Field as an Assistant coach in 2009 and ended her second season with the Crusaders' in 2011.
