Thress joined the Alvernia Women's Golf Coaching Staff prior to the 2016-17 season. She was a four year player for the Crusaders, graduating in May of 2015.
Thress was a member of the team that won the first MAC Women's Golf Championship in 2012, and was named captain for her senior season, and also earned the Alvernia Women's Golf Coaches Award. She graduated with honors having achieved a GPA higher than 3.5, and went on to earn a Master's Degree from Temple University.
Thress is the career leader in rounds played at Alvernia with 41. She is fifth in career scoring average at 94.0. She had 14 top 5 finishes and one low medalist.
Thress graduated from Archbishop Ryan High School in 2011, where she played four years of golf and was the captain of the team during her senior year. In her senior year, she won the Philadelphia Catholic League Championshi. For three straight years, she advanced to the PIAA Eastern Regional Championship at Golden Oaks Country Club.
Thress started playing golf when she was 13 years old and it was first introduced to me by her father. She played out of Bensalem Township Country Club for a number of years.
