Coach McElroy joined the Women's Tennis team after the completion of their 2008 campaign. She finshed her 3rd season in 2011 with a record of 18-11.  McElroy was the head of all racquet sports at Hamilton College for eight years in the 90s where she was the Division III New York Coach of the Year in 1997.

McElroy was a tenured faculty member at Murray Jr. High School in Ridgecrest, California, where she served as a head coach of both girls varsity tennis and junior varsity basketball. Following that the family moved to Clinton, New York, where McElroy taught physical education in the middle and elementary levels and coached tennis, volleyball, and softball.

She was hired as a professor in the athletic department at Hamilton College in 1990 and was the head of all racquet sports for men and women from 1990-97 when she earned coach of the year honors. She also guided the women’s ice hockey program from 1995-96.

Following her time at Hamilton the McElroys moved to Australia where the stayed until November of 2001 when they moved to Williamsburg, Virginia. McElroy taught health and physical education at Lafayette High School for two years until the family moved to Mohnton, Pa., in July of 2003.

McElroy participates actively in local tennis matches at Spring Valley Fitness Club. She took over a the women’s tennis program at Alvernia as it enters the Freedom Conference for the 2008 season.
