Crusaders Need Four To Pass Cedar Crest

Reading, Pa. (Oct. 2, 2007) – Alvernia College played well to build a 2-0 lead, but needed a fourth game to better Cedar Crest College 3-1 Tuesday evening in Pennsylvania Athletic Conference women's volleyball action at the Physical Education Center.

Alvernia senior Jenn Stigura (Barto, Pa./Central Catholic) led the Crusaders (4-11, 2-4 PAC) with 16 kills and was one of three players to reach double figures for the hosts as Amy Sikorski (Topton, Pa./Brandywine Heights) totaled 14 and Laura Hetke (Coopersburg, Pa./Southern Lehigh) posted 11.

Freshman setter Leah Crimi (Nazareth, Pa./Notre Dame) recorded a career-high 44 assists to, and sister# Lauren Crimi# (Nazareth, Pa./Notre Dame) led the defensive efforts with 23 digs.

Alvernia will host Penn State Berks on Thursday at 7:00 p.m.
