Jenny McKee (York, Pa./York Catholic) and
Hannah Dickey (Summit, N.J./Summit) swept through the No. 1 and No. 2 singles and teamed together for an 8-0 win at No. 1 doubles as Alvernia College opened the season with a 6-3 win over Albright College Saturday afternoon in non-conference women's tennis action at Albright.
McKee earned a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles and Dickey posted a 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 2.
Janine Horning (Red Hill, Pa./Upper Perkiomen) and
Heather Leader (Pottstown, Pa./Owen J. Roberts) helped Alvernia to the victory with wins at No. 3 and No. 4 singles respectively. Freshman
Katie McCormack (Lewisburg, Pa./Lewisburg) teamed with Horning for a win at No. 2 doubles.
Alvernia will face Penn State-Berks next Thursday.
