Allentown, Pa. (Sept. 19, 2007) – Cedar Crest College handed Alvernia College its first conference loss Wednesday afternoon with a 7-2 win at Cedar Crest. Both teams are now 2-1 in the Pennsylvania Athletic Conference.
Freshman
Jenny McKee (York, Pa./York Catholic) remained unbeaten at No. 1 singles and teamed with
Hannah Dickey (Summit, N.J./Summit) for a 9-8 (10-8) win at No. 1 doubles, their third straight victory.
Cedar Crest earned wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles and showed their depth with wins in the last five singles matches. Alvernia junior
Samantha Bader (Phoenixville, Pa./Phoenixville) took the No. 4 singles match to a third set, but fell 7-3 in the tie-breaker.
