Reading, Pa. (Oct. 12, 2009) - Alvernia University (11-2) rallied from a 2-1 deficit after doubles play for four wins in singles matches and a 5-4 win over Neumann University (10-5) Monday afternoon in non-conference women's tennis action.

Neumann took the No. 2 and 3 doubles matches for the early lead, but Alvernia rallied for wins at No. 1, 3, 4, and 6 singles.  Junior Jenny McKee (York, Pa./York Catholic) teamed with Kayla Morgan (Mohrsville, Pa./Hamburg) for the Crusaders' first point at No. 1 doubles and both were able to come through in singles play.

Junior Lil Snyder (Lancaster, Pa./Lampeter Strasburg) improved to 13-0 at No. 3 singles and Laura Ehnes (Roselle Park, Pa./Roselle Park) earned the final point at No. 6.

Alvernia returns to the conference schedule Saturday at Elizabethtown.
