Allie Toczylowski (Mantua, N.J./Clearview Regional) led Alvernia University (13-7) with 14 points as the Crusaders earned their fifth straight win, a 62-36 defeat of Cabrini College (13-8) Monday evening in non-conference women's basketball action at the Physical Education Center.
The Crusaders held Cabrini to just 18 points in the first half then scored 31 of the first 41 in the second to pull away.
Toczylowski finished with a team-best 10 rebounds. Junior
Kelli McIntyre (Orwigsburg, Pa./Blue Mountain) also reached double figures in scoring with 11 points.
Alyssa Brady had 17 points to lead the Cavs.
Alvernia returns to the conference schedule Wednesday when it hosts Widener University for a rematch of Widener's seven-point win on January 20th.
The Crusaders are currently a half a game behind Widener in fourth place and have a comfortable two and a half game lead over fifth-place Lycoming.
Alvernia could sew up a playoff spot as soon as Saturday when it travels to Lycoming.
